To create numeric Activity Log Fields, follow these steps:
Step 1 Log into CRM
Step 2 On the landing page, click on Administration from the main menu
Step 3 Hover the mouse over Setup, and click on CRM Settings
Step 4 If the tab landed on is not Activity Log Fields, click on it within the list
Step 5 If a blank setup is not showing, click the Add New button
5.1 Type the description in the Field Name box
5.2 Click the drop-down arrow in the Type box
5.3 Select Numeric
5.4 Type in a numeric value for the size of the field within the Length box
5.5 Type in a value for the decimals to allow within the Decimals box
Note: The Length should be the whole value plus the number of decimals to be allowed. So, if the value will contain a whole number containing 6 values but also display 2 decimals, the Length should equal 8 or more.
5.6 Once all setup fields are populated, click the Save button
Step 6 To edit any of the settings of the field, click on the field in the list
6.1 Make the desired changes in the necessary fields
6.2 Click the Save button
