SamplePro is designed to give the ability to audit a sample of records using a random selection of records
by size, percentage or using FFIEC’s Sample Guideline. The records can also be flagged in order to prevent the same record from being sampled again when doing a follow up audit.
Step 1 Log into the CDP/ CenTrax NEXT
The active Institution and File will display in the upper right-hand section to the left of the name of the user logged in.
Step 2 Click Data Processing
Step 3 Click SamplePro
Step 4 To create a new SamplePro, click the upper right-hand green Add New button
Step 5 Type a description into the Name box
Step 6 Select a saved filter, if desired (optional)
- Click the drop-down arrow under Group to select the filter group
- Click the drop-down arrow under Filter to select a filter within the filter group
Step 7 Click the drop-down arrow for Field Definition to select the desired field group for the sample file
Note: The field groups must be created within Settings/Field Groups prior to creating the SamplePro item as Field Groups cannot be created within SamplePro. For a step-by-step guide, please review the Field Groups procedural document.
Step 8 Select the desired Method to apply for identifying records to be sampled:
8.1 Number of Records Sample Size
8.2 Percent of Records Sample Size
8.3 FFIEC Guidelines (2018)
- If selected, click the drop-down arrow to select the LAR size in order to determine the appropriate size per FFIEC guidelines
Note: There is the ability to mark or flag records that have been sampled. A user defined field (UDF) can be selected to have the desired flag, character string, or date to be applied. However, the UDF will need to be created prior to setting up the Sample item. Please review the User Defined Fields procedural guide for a step by step process of creating a UDF.
Step 9 Click the drop-down arrow for Field to Mark to choose a UDF to be flagged on records sampled (optional)
9.1 If the format is Character, Numeric or Date: Type in the desired value
9.2 If the format is Logical, slide the logical slider to True
Step 10 Type in a File Name for the sample file that will be created
Step 11 Click the Save button to complete the creation of the SamplePro item
Step 12 To Run the SamplePro item, place a check mark next to the desired SamplePro(s) in the list
Step 13 With the sample items selected, Click the Run Now button
Step 14 When the windows explorer pops up, choose a location to place the file
Step 15 To Edit a SamplePro setup, click on the sample within the list
15.1 Make the desired changes
15.2 Click the Save button at the bottom of the page
Step 16 To Delete a SamplePro setup, click on the sample within the list
16.1 Click the Delete button at the bottom of the page
