The following process outlines how to generate the HMDA Submission File in the CDP.
Step 1 Log into the CDP/CenTrax NEXT
The active Institution and File will display in the upper right-hand section to the left of the name of the user logged in.
Step 2 Click Filing
Step 3 Click HMDA Submission File
Step 4 Verify information within the HMDA LAR Submission File section.
Note: If the information within the HMDA LAR Submission File section is incorrect, edit the record in Data Entry or edit
the institution in Settings/Institutions to make any necessary corrections.
4.1 Place a check mark in the Public LAR box to create a file in the public LAR format (optional)
Note: Public LAR format will display blanks for any sensitive data such as date fields, account number, addresses, etc. This option should not be selected when generating the file that will be submitted on the CFPB website.
Step 5 Use the Filing quarter drop-down, in combination with the Year to Date or Current Quarter radio buttons, to determine the timespan of the LAR file
5.1 To generate a LAR file spanning multiple quarters, select the desired quarter from the drop-down menu along with the Year to Date radio button. For example, to generate a LAR file for all data up through the 3rd quarter, select 3rd quarter from the drop down as well as the Year to Date radio button
5.2 To generate a LAR file for only one quarter, select the desired quarter from the Filing Quarter drop-down menu, along with the Current Quarter radio button. For example, if a LAR file is only needed for the third quarter, select the 3rd quarter option from the Filing Quarter drop-down, along with the radio button for "Current Quarter"
Step 6 Click the Create LAR File button in the bottom right hand corner
Step 7 Select a destination and enter or edit the desired LAR file name within the Windows Explorer popup box
Step 8 Click Save
