Step 1:
In order to upgrade from a previous version of DOD to version 3.1 we want to make sure we have server connection. Browse out to our web service URLS

You should see a page that looks like this.
If you cannot get to the page above, you will see something similar to the error message below. (If you cannot reach the webservice page do not continue with the upgrade process until this is resolved.) Resolution may need to go through your IT
Step 2:
Go into Services-->DocuMatix-->Properties-->Log On and make sure we are able to capture the administrator log on credentials as they will need to be applied to the DOD 3.1. This administrator account needs FULL access.
Step 3:
Add/Remove programs and Uninstall DOD
Step 4:
Stop the Windows Service from the Services screen,
Step 5:
Run the MSI file for DOD 3.1 as Admin. The upgrade file can be located in the web portal by going to Account Settings-->Administrator-->Download DOD LaunchPro v3.1.0.1
- Uncheck the button that says “To Launch”
Step 6:
Go to ServicesàDOD-->Properties-->Log on Admin Rights-->add user name and password
Step7:
Open the Config Tool and check mapping and file paths, check settings, and notification email fields
Step 8:
Restart the Windows Service.
