In Preparation make sure the destination server has access to DOD 3.1 web service:
https://ws.documatix.com/DocuMatixOnDemand/DODWebService.svc
If not please resolve this issue before moving forward.
-
Make a backup copy of the json configuration file located here: C:\ProgramData\DocuMatix On Demand\ DocuMatixOnDemandConfig.json

-
Uninstall DOD (before you uninstall make sure you document the Windows profile ID and Password to apply to DocuMatix On Demands Windows Service on the new server)
- Copy the file structure for their source and processing folders from the old server to the new server. The installation on the new server will need to be able to access those files using the exact file paths that were used on the old server.
- Install DOD on the new server. Apply the appropriate admin user account that has full control of the source folders, processing folders, and log folders.
-
Move the copy of the configuration file to the new location on the new server.
*It is worth noting that it is best to open and close the configuration tool on the new server before copying in the configuration file. The new configuration file does not get created after the new install until the config tool is opened and closed. Then when you copy and paste in the previous existing configuration file that contains their settings and mappings it will tell you the file already exists and if you want to replace it. Select yes.
- Open the config tool and make sure all the paths are correct, and all settings have repopulated.
