Enhancements
1071 Filing Wizard
In addition to being able to create a submission file for 1071 Small Business lending, we have implemented a Filing Wizard for 1071. This enables you to run a final validation against your file and also provides the ability to generate the submission file or run the validation report for more details, all within one location. This tool will provide you with the confidence of creating your 1071 submission file without data errors.
Additional Modifications
Mapping Enhancements
Within Mapping, the Branch layer has been enhanced to provide the ability to display labels as well as define the color and size of the labels. By default, the labels will be enabled, but they can be disabled at any time.
We have added two new layers to help provide a better picture of the community areas on the map.
Introducing the Indian/Tribal Reservation layer, which provides a hatch design overlay on the map, identifying the location and boundary of any Indian or tribal reservations.
And we’ve added a Major Highways layer that makes the major roads and highways more apparent when displayed on the map.
Together these changes will help you define and better understand the community you serve.
Branch - Geocode All Locations
The Geocode All Locations button has been enhanced to give the user the ability to decide what year to geocode your branch records for. When you click the Geocode All Locations button, a display will provide a dropdown to select the year, which determines what geocode to apply to your branch records. It will default to the year of the selected CDP file, but you can use the dropdown to select a different year, if desired.
Tract Group/AAS - Multi-Select for Nationwide Groups
The Tract Group/AAs page has been enhanced to allow the ability to multi-select your geographic areas when building your assessment areas or tract groups. This will make creating your nationwide areas simpler and quicker. When clicking the dropdowns for State, MSA or County, you will now be able to select more than one item. So, if you are trying to create an area that spans multiple MSAs, you can select them all at once and then click the Find Tracts to return all tracts within those MSAs at once. As a part of this enhancement, we have added pagination at the bottom of the page for both the Available Tracts and the Selected Tracts to better manage the large number of tracts that could be selected/displayed. The buttons used to select/move tracts between the Available and Selected Tracts boxes function the same way they have always functioned.
Performance Evaluation Tables 7-12
We have added “a” and “b” to the Performance Evaluation Tables 7–2 summarizations of the MSA and State outputs to help distinguish between the tables.
Performance Evaluation Tables
To improve the performance of the reports as they are generated, the Performance Evaluation Tables will now be generated simultaneously rather than in a queue. This will also ensure if one report “errors out” out it will not prevent the other tables from generating. (#146403, #149869)
Rate Spread Settings
The rate spread settings have been moved into the platform rather than within the web configuration in order to prevent the settings from being wiped during upgrades. This information will be displayed within the Administration/Settings/Configuration Settings on the Compliance Data Platform tab. Only MSSI will be able to see this information, and it will have an editable text box that displays the applicable Rate Spread API path.
If you have further questions, please contact Marquis Support or your Client Relationship Manager.
The following fixes are included in this release:
- Reporting: Performance Evaluation Table 13 was sorted differently than the other Performance Evaluation Tables but has been updated to provide consistency. (#146451)
- Reporting: The calculations for the Owner Occupied and Family percentages within Performance Evaluation Tables 7 and 8 were updated based on user feedback. (#147356)
- Reporting: When users generated the Performance Evaluation Tables, information would display on the preview screen but then would be missing when exported. This has been corrected. (#147365)
- Reporting: When users generated tables that spanned multiple years, only the earliest year was listed in the footnotes regarding the Aggregate data. Now the list will reflect all the years that are included. (#149522)
- Reporting: The exports for the enhanced version of Exam Tables 6 and 7 displayed different values for Aggregate lending and Aggregate percent for the upper and unclassified categories in Excel, PDF, and Word formats. They now match the correctly displayed value that shows within the preview and Excel (not formatted) exports. (#149056)
- Reporting: Cross Tab report returned no data found when an Assessment Area was selected; this has been corrected. (#149221)
- Reporting: The User Activity Audit report encountered activity logs for users who had been deleted, which resulted in an error. The report has been updated to ensure it can generate without error if it encounters a deleted user again while gathering the User activity logs. (#149375)
- Reporting: Based on previously established requirements, when the “report by year” setting is NOT selected within the Performance Evaluation reports, Tables 7, 8, 9, and 11 will use the Year of the active CDP file to determine the tract demographic information. This will ensure alignment with Table 2’s demographic information. (#149430)
- Reporting: The Deposit Market Share report within Marquis used the name to filter on the selected geography on FDIC’s site, resulting in no matches found when there was a difference. To prevent this, the filtering will use the FIPS code moving forward. (#149797)
- Reporting: When exporting the Performance Evaluation Table 9, the aggregate year displayed in the footer was mismatched with the data applied. That has been corrected. (#149927)
- Reporting: A difference in calculations between the paired Performance Evaluation Table reports (7 & 8, 9 &10, and 11 &12) resulted in a different total for Overall Market. This has been corrected, and the applicable reports contain matching totals for aggregate data. (#150912)
- Reporting: Updates to the Institution IDs were made to the database used by the PE Tables and Exam Tables to ensure records were not excluded from the Overall Market or aggregate percentages due to missing institution IDs. (#29963, #30599)
- DataPro: The submission import process did not include inactive counties in its validation process, which resulted in the geocode combinations not importing. That process has been updated to ensure all proper combinations are validated correctly during the submission import process. (#150153)
- DataPro: The submission import process was only looking for the first State FIPS code in the database when validating the imported geocode. This resulted in a state code being applied to a record in error for another country, resulting in it not matching the geography selected for reports. That process has been updated to include the country code to ensure the proper state code is applied. (#149872)
- DataPro: Applicant 2 First and Last Name were not updating from the Applicant 2 Full Name during the update to existing records piece of DataPro. That has been corrected to both update existing records and apply to new records. (#130048)
- DataPro: The list of CDP fields has been updated to include Application Date and Original Balance when the Transaction Details category is selected within the field mapping of the Import Definition. (#131598)
- DataPro: The HMDA Applicant Income level calculation for non-MSA tracts was corrected specifically for the HMDA Submission import process. (#148092)
- Filing: To ensure alignment with CFPB edit reporting, Q659.1 was updated to include Applicant Income in the edit. Those records that have 888 or 8888 as well as 999 or 9999 in the income field will trigger this edit based on results shown by CFPB. (#144037)
- Filing: Q660.2 was not triggered when the address on a record contained “and,” which is now corrected to align with the CFPB edits. (#144037)
- Filing: To ensure alignment with CFPB edit reporting, the S306 edit was updated to trigger only if there is more than one record with the same ULI AND all records contain an action code of 1. If more than one record exists with the same ULI but different actions, this edit will no longer trigger. (#145383)
- Mapping: The application of the color theme on the tracts was using a centroid process, which resulted in some census tracts in the outside assessment area being left without a color. The process was changed to apply a more accurate bounding box intersection to prevent that moving forward. (#151093)
